Volunteer Gymnastics Coaching Assistant

Stenhousemuir Gymnastics Club located within Carron Gymnastics Centre a state of the art gymnastics training facility in Falkirk. The Centre is the focal point of gymnastics development in Falkirk and has the full range of women's and men's artistic equipment and specialised training equipment, including a foam pit, full sized sprung floor and tumble tracks.

We are looking to recruit volunteer coaches to help deliver fun engaging sessions, tailored to the gymnasts needs. We host everything from pre-school gymnastics, development sessions, gymnastics for fun, holidays camps and adult sessions.

Duties involved in the role may include:
*greeting members
*setting up/tidying equipment
*assisting the lead coach with the gymnastic activities
*engaging with children/adults
*Ensuring a safe and fun learning environment


Other tasks may be required and may vary depending on the age group and ability levels.


Experience required

Knowledge and experience of gymnastics would be an advantage but not necessary.
Volunteers should be willing to learn and be reliable.

Carron Gymnastics Centre, Carronlea Drive, Falkirk, FK2 8DN.

Travel expenses

45p per mile or bus fares upon receipt of ticket.

Training details

Induction to the club, staff and gymnasts.
Training/qualifications can be offered which can include coaching, first aid and young leaders training.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 14
PVG required.

2 hours per week. Various classes throughout the week during the above times. Can discuss suitable times with the volunteer.

Volunteers (aged 14-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
