Lived Experience Campaigner – Bowel Cancer UK (Home-Based, Glasgow Area)

Bowel Cancer UK is looking for volunteers across the Glasgow area who want to use their lived experience of bowel cancer to help shape our campaigns and improve early diagnosis. This role is fully home-based, with optional opportunities to take part in occasional Glasgow events if you choose. Your voice and experience can help influence real change for people affected by bowel cancer across Scotland.

What You’ll Be Doing

Sharing your personal experience of bowel cancer (within the last 3 years) to support our early diagnosis and awareness campaigns.
Taking part in online surveys, virtual focus groups or short telephone interviews to inform our policy and influencing work.
Providing honest feedback about screening, diagnosis and care to help us identify gaps and solutions.
Contributing to digital content such as quotes, case studies or awareness materials (only if comfortable).
Representing the lived experience voice to help shape national and local health improvements.

Commitment & Timing

Very flexible — take part when opportunities arise and when it suits you.
Most activities can be done from home using your phone, laptop or tablet.
Occasional optional online meetings or Glasgow-based events may be offered.

Location

Optional opportunities to join in-person Glasgow events.
