Shop Assistant & Community Ambassador – Kirkintilloch

Would you like to make a difference in your community while meeting new people and having fun?
Join our welcoming team of volunteers who keep our Hospice shops running — raising vital funds to support people and families across Glasgow and East Renfrewshire living with life-limiting conditions.

What you’ll do:

Greet and help customers, creating a friendly shopping experience


Sort, price, and display donated items



Keep the shop tidy, organised, and inviting



Use the till and card machine (full training provided)



Be part of a supportive, caring team

What you’ll gain:

Time commitment:


We’re flexible — most volunteers give 2–3 hours a week, but any time you can spare makes a difference.

Travel details

By Bus / Public Transport: Take local bus routes serving Cowgate, such as the 72, X85, X87, 88, or 88A. Get off at a stop near Cowgate and walk to number 93a. The area is well connected and within easy walking distance from the bus stop.

By Car: Enter Kirkintilloch Town Centre and head toward Cowgate. Use nearby car parks or available on-street parking, then walk to 93a. Cowgate has vehicle access and pedestrian crossings for easy navigation.

On Foot: From nearby streets like Townhead or H
