Marketing role to promote community events in the Southside

Glasgow SOUP launched in September 2025 and aims to bring together people in the southside of the city to meet and support local projects.

SOUP events are a community gathering of good causes, good food and good people. Attendees register for a ticket and hear three presentations on ideas or projects based in Glasgow Southside. Everyone enjoys a bowl of soup and some live entertainment, while voting for one of the presentations. The presenter who receives the most votes takes home part of the money raised from ticket sales, and returns to the next SOUP event to update us on their progress.

The entire initiative is voluntary. We are looking for someone to take on marketing and social media responsibilities, to lead the promotion of our events. Events take place every 2/3 months, and we meet a couple of times in between.

Ideally this role is for someone looking to gain social media and/or marketing experience, who brings enthusiasm for social media and who wants to put their creative spin on how best we can promote our events.

If you're interested, please click the ‘apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call. If you have not heard back after 5 working days, the first step is to contact the organisation with the contact details provided. You could also check your junk/spam folder on your emails just in case the response is there. If that doesn’t work out then please feel free to contact Volunteer Glasgow on [email protected].
