Aberdeen Sands is a registered charity and part of the Sands UK-wide network of local groups. Aberdeen Sands supports anyone who has been affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. We offer emotional support and information for parents, grandparents, siblings, children, families and friends, health professionals and others. Aberdeen Sands is managed by a committee of volunteers, all of whom are bereaved parents.
Do you like taking part in garden maintenance? We have a joint garden with MISS (Miscarriage Information Support Service)-the Forget Me Not Garden and are seeking people to help as Garden Maintenance Volunteers. Our next volunteer gardening sessions are on:
-10th July Friday 10.30am to 12.30pm
-25th July Saturday 13.30pm to 3.00pm
-14th August Friday 10.30 to 12.30pm
-11th September Friday 10.30 to 12.30
-9th October Friday 10.30 to 12.30
-13th November Friday 10.30 to 12.30
-11th December Friday 10.30 to 12.30
*(people are welcome to volunteer for one or as many sessions that they wish).

*Please note that due to current UK Home Office rules, we are only able to recruit volunteer applicants who are already eligible to live and work in the UK. We are also not sponsoring Charity Workers under the Tier 5 visa scheme.
