Chair of the Board

As Chair, you will:
• Provide leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring it operates effectively and in line with our values
• Support and guide the organisation’s strategic direction
• Work collaboratively with fellow trustees, staff, volunteers, and members
• Promote good governance
• Ensure the organisation meets its legal, financial, and charitable responsibilities
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds. We would prefer prior experience as a Chair, although previous trustee or leadership experience would be helpful.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
• A strong commitment to the values of Hearing Voices Network Dundee and peer-led support
• The ability to facilitate inclusive, respectful discussions
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Strategic thinking and sound judgement
• An understanding of, or interest in, mental health, community development, or lived-experience-led organisations
People with lived experience of hearing voices or related experiences are especially encouraged to apply.
