Scottish SPCA
- VO104935
The Scottish SPCA (SSPCA) rescues, rehabilitates, and rehoming abused, neglected, and abandoned animals across Scotland, from domestic pets to wildlife, operating the country's only all-animal rescue service with a dedicated Special Investigations Unit to tackle cruelty and enforce animal welfare laws, while also offering community support throughout the country.
The Scottish SPCA needs your help to make Scotland the best place for all animals to live! Volunteering with the Scottish SPCA is a wonderful thing to do, not only for Scotland's animals in need and the people in your local community, but also for you!
This role is deigned to be completely flexible - fit it in around your busy life to suit you! You can choose to simply share our news and campaigns with a monthly online task, or if you feel like getting a bit more involved now and again, we will keep you up-to-date with events and other initiatives in your area.
So, what are you waiting for? Sign up to be an SSPCA Micro-volunteer today and be part of the rescue!
Please note: this role does not involve directly working with animals in our care.
Did you know that it costs us £63,000 per day to look after all the animals in our care? As an SSPCA ambassador, you will help ensure that we can continue to provide our vital services.
What you will be doing:
Online tasks - want to help, but only got a few minutes to spare? Why not help us by simply sharing information and campaigns on your social media channels? These quick and easy tasks can be done on your phone from home or anywhere you like!
Community Events - Join our fabulous Community Engagement Team at events near you and help us spread the word about the SSPCA's great work and services! We attend local galas, shows, visit community groups and run pop-up events in all sorts of places! Short on time? You can help by simply handing a flyer in to your local cafe or supermarket or telling people about our work.
Fundraising - Help us to put the 'fun' into fundraising by joining our amazing Regional Fundraising Team for an event or two. Everything from bucket shakes to adrenaline events, or why not set up your own small event in your local community? Fundraising is a great way to meet people in your community while raising much needed cash for animals in need
