Heritage Hub Volunteer – Welcoming Visitors to Paisley

The Paisley Tours Heritage Hub is often the first place people visit when they arrive in Paisley. It’s a welcoming town-centre space where locals and visitors ask questions, discover tours and start learning about the town’s history.
As a Heritage Hub Volunteer, you’ll help create a warm first impression of Paisley. You’ll welcome people into the shop, have relaxed conversations about the town, and help visitors find information about Paisley’s stories, tours and places of interest.
You don’t need to be a historian or have retail experience. What matters most is being friendly, approachable and curious. Many visitors simply want to ask “Where should I start?” — and you’ll help them begin that journey.
Shifts are short, flexible and agreed in advance as part of an initial pilot. Support, guidance and clear boundaries are always in place.
This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys chatting with people and wants to play a small but meaningful part in how Paisley is experienced and remembered.

Friendly and approachable manner
