Fundraising Assistant

As a Volunteer Fundraising Assistant, you will play a key part in helping IWG to secure the funds necessary to continue our programmes and initiatives. Tasks may include:
Assisting with planning and organising fundraising events (e.g., charity walks, cultural fairs, online auctions).
Reaching out to potential donors and sponsors via email, phone, or in person.
Supporting online fundraising campaigns through social media and crowdfunding platforms.
Helping to prepare fundraising materials, such as posters, newsletters, and event invitations.
Tracking donations and maintaining accurate records.
Thanking supporters and keeping them updated on how their contributions are making a difference.
Effective Fundraising Strategies
Know Your Cause: Familiarise yourself with the IWG’s mission, objectives, and recent achievements. Being able to clearly articulate our purpose helps build trust with potential donors.
Engage Your Network: Reach out to friends, family, and colleagues. Personal connections are often the most supportive donors and can help spread the word further.
Utilise Social Media: Share our fundraising campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Engaging posts with stories and visuals can inspire people to support our cause.
Collaborate on Events: Work with other volunteers to brainstorm and organise engaging fundraising events. These can range from bake sales to virtual workshops, depending on resources and interests.

Express Gratitude: A heartfelt thank you goes a long way.
Always acknowledge donations, no matter how small, and update donors on the impact of their support.

If you are interested please click the ‘Apply’ button below (available when logged in and registered). You will then be contacted by the coordinator by email or phone call.
