Team Volunteering Day at the Yard

Volunteering at The Yard is a great way to spend a day away from the office and enjoy a unique team building experience. Your team will be working hard to keep our fantastic facilities in shape for the families we support.
For our Maintenance Days, duties can include gardening, tidying, painting and repairs. You’ll be provided a health and safety briefing, supervision throughout, refreshments and a chance to learn more about the work we do supporting disabled children.
The day will start at 9.30am with a cup of tea or coffee. We provide a safety briefing and introduction to the work we do at 10am, and afterwards tasks will be allocated. Tasks will include both indoor and outdoor work such as weeding, sweeping, painting and general tidying, so we recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit mucky! We do also have overalls, boots and gloves for you to use.
We encourage you to take breaks whenever you need and we’ll have ample refreshments available throughout the day. We will break for lunch around noon, and you’re welcome to bring your own lunch and enjoy it in our kitchen, or head out. You’ll be finished around 3 -4pm, depending on the tasks of the day.
Current dates available for Team Volunteering - 22nd and 25th May; 17th/18th/19th/20th August; 26th/27th October
