Volunteer Shop Assistant

"We're recruiting new volunteers for our popular charity shops across the UK. Join our friendly team and do something you'll really love! Whether you're looking to learn new skills, gain experience in retail, meet new people or just have fun, our wide range of activities mean we have a perfect role for everyone.
If you are passionate about helping to make a difference through giving your time, then why not get in touch? Please note this is an unpaid volunteering role even although the salary is shown as £0.01.
The role will involve:
· Serving customers and using the computerised till to take payments for purchases
· Sorting donated stock, clothing and bric-a-brac
· Recording donor details for gift-aid
· Using a steaming appliance on donated clothes
· Assisting the shop manager with any other task to keep the shop running efficiently
DEBRA is the national charity that funds research and healthcare to support individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal.
