The Prince & Princess of Wales retail team is looking for volunteer Donation Sorters. You'll play an important behind-the-scenes role by identifying and preparing items with online selling potential. Every hidden gem you uncover helps maximise the value of donations and supports specialist hospice care.
Gain practical experience in retail, stock handling, and identifying quality items while developing valuable skills for your CV. Be part of a welcoming team, meet new people, and enjoy flexible volunteering opportunities (around 3 hours per week).
No previous experience is required—just a good eye for detail, an interest in fashion, collectibles or unique items, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided.

What you'll be doing
Sort through donated items to identify those suitable for online sale
Spot unique, collectible or high-value items
Prepare and organise stock for the eBay team
Work with staff and volunteers to maximise the value of donations
Help grow our online sales and boost hospice fundraising

Support to Volunteers
You'll receive a warm welcome from our Volunteer Services Team, along with a comprehensive induction and orientation before you begin.

Reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses.

Travel details

By subway (fastest from city centre)
Take the Glasgow Subway to Kinning Park station.
Exit the station and turn right onto Scotland Street.
Walk 2–3 minutes.
Turn left onto Cornwall Street South.
Clutha House is a short walk along the street.
By train
Go to Glasgow Central Station.
Take a local train to Exhibition Centre or Pollokshields East.
From either station, take a short taxi or local bus to Kinning Park.
Ask for Cornwall Street South — Clutha House is there.
