Database and Supporter Care Volunteer

Both our Database and Supporter Care Teams are based in our busy friendly Stepps office, providing vital support to our fundraising activities. You will mainly be helping our Database Team to ensure the information held on the CHAS database is accurate but also support the smooth running of the Fundraising Office, ensuring money is counted, supporters thanked and donations are processed quickly and accurately. The time you give will help us to generate as much money as possible for CHAS so we can support children with a life-shortening condition across Scotland.
We’re looking for an efficient, organised volunteer with strong office skills, particularly Excel and Word, a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of excellent customer service.

 Data input and import, maintaining high standards of accuracy
 Running weekly and monthly reports and amending errors
 Helping to maintain confidential donor records
 General admin support e.g. sending Direct Debit letters to supporters
 Attending any training that will help you with your volunteer role
What skills and abilities will I need to have?
 An outgoing and friendly personality with good communication skills
 Strong office experience: good administrative skills, e.g. Excel, Word
 Well organised with an eye for detail
 A clear grasp of the rules around GDPR and confidentiality
