Arts & Craft Volunteers

Hugh Fraser Retirement Estate is seeking experienced volunteers to help conduct regular arts and crafts activities for residents. Volunteers will support residents in exploring creative activities that are fun, social and offer the opportunity to engage in new learning experiences. Volunteers will lead these sessions, such as painting & sketching, knitting & crochet and general crafts. We are looking for volunteers who are happy to train adults in new skills.
Key responsibilities:


  • Lead an activity session for groups of residents

  • Organise an activity that will maintain the interest of the resident and encourage participation

  • Identify the needs of the collective group and individuals and tailor the activities to suit them

  • The volunteer will need to be able to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers and residents

  • Prepare materials and organise the space before and after each craft session
    PVG memberships is required.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
