Finance & Budget Planning Volunteer

Broomhill Sports Club seek a Finance & Budget Planning Volunteer to support the Trust by preparing budgets, monitoring financial activity, and contributing to sound financial management across all club operation.
The volunteer will support the Treasurer and Trustees by:

Budgeting & Planning


Assisting in the preparation of the annual organisational budget


Preparing project-specific budgets for events, programmes, and funding bids


Updating budget forecasts during the year as required

Financial Monitoring

Tracking income and expenditure against approved budgets


Maintaining accurate records of receipts, invoices, and payments


Preparing simple monthly or quarterly financial summaries for trustees

Reporting & Compliance

Supporting the Treasurer with information required for OSCR reporting


Ensuring financial information is stored securely and confidentially


Helping maintain clear audit trails for grants and restricted funds

Funding Support

Providing costings and financial projections for grant applications


Monitoring spend on funded projects to ensure compliance with funder conditions

Desirable
Experience in budgeting, bookkeeping, or financial administration
Knowledge of charity finance (restricted funds, grant reporting)
Studying or qualified in accounting, finance, business, economics, or sports management
Familiarity with community

Accessible by train, Yoker station is 500m away. Multiple buses run through the area from Glasgow and Clydebank
