Volunteer Champion (Coordinator)

Ensure our volunteer team is happy, informed, and organised as we grow The Music Rooms.
How you will make a difference:
Rota Management: Use a simple app or spreadsheet to ensure we have enough cover for bookings and sessions, record volunteer hours and measure our impact.
Welcome: Act as the first point of contact for new volunteers, showing them the ropes and introducing them to the team.
Communication: Send out a monthly update to the team so everyone knows what’s happening at the charity. Promote a positive atmosphere by providing regular feedback, and asking for theirs in return.
Safety & Compliance: Help ensure all volunteers understand our safety protocols under our public liability insurance. You will handle volunteer records with care to ensure we remain GDPR compliant and maintain strict confidentiality.

Support
Training details

Training & Support: We want you to feel confident being the voice of FMG! We provide full training, including:
● A brief on our charity’s mission, history, and current projects.
● Guidance on data protection (GDPR) and how to handle community enquiries.
● Support with event safety and how to represent us effectively at stalls.
