We recently started running the Snowdrop Café but have currently paused it for summer to re-launch with a clearer aim in September. It will be open every first and third Wednesday of the month at the King’s Way Centre, Bridge of Don, as a friendship & wellbeing space for those with Palliative Health Conditions & their carers.
The Snowdrop Cafe offers a calm space to foster friendship, wellbeing and care to individuals as well as their family, friends and carers who may also benefit from a listening ear. The cafe also provides free refreshments alongside activities such as jigsaws, games and crafts to bring enjoyment and relaxation amongst the guests to help improve emotional and mental wellbeing in difficult circumstances.
We are looking for compassionate, friendly volunteers who can offer a listening ear, give signposting information, serve refreshments and take part in the activities with the guests to create a warm, safe and enjoyable environment.

Experience required

We are looking for compassionate, friendly volunteers who can offer a listening ear, give signposting information, serve refreshments and take part in the activities with the guests to create a warm, safe and enjoyable environment. A background in support or care work is desirable but not essential.

Travel details

There are regular, direct buses to Bridge of Don from Aberdeen City.
The King's Way Centre has lots of free parking available.
