Volunteering details
We are looking to relaunch our community car club and need plenty of publicity to support this. New flyers and posters will need to be designed, printed and distributed, local media and community groups will need to be contacted and some funding raised to enable this.
We are looking for someone to work with the Board to co-ordinate the delivery of the various strands of work for the re-launch of the Club. Ideally, this will be someone with experience of fund raising and project management with good communication and inter-personal skills.
There is no extant funding for this rôle but this can be included in any funding proposal up to 50% of the total and at a maximum rate of the Living Wage.
It is expected that other volunteers will be involved in carrying out many of the tasks involved but it may be appropriate for some tasks to be carried out by the Co-ordinator themself. Some work strands will need to be bought in, especially the redesign of the flyers and posters.
Members of the Board will be available for speaking at meetings with the arrangements and negotiation falling to the Co-ordinator, who can have as little or as much involvement in the presentations as they like.
The oversight of the web editing will also be necessary and checking of the internal and external links to ensure that all functions correctly. We are hopeful that this work can be carried out in-house but the original design-house could be contracted to make the necessary changes.
The successful applicant will be expected to use their own computer equipment and work from home on a flexible basis. An iPad can be made available if useful.
The Co-ordinator will report to the Board and be provided with a link Director for day-to-day support. The Board expects the Co-ordinator to be actively involved in developing the relaunch plan and the various components within it.
