Trustee

Communities Connected is looking for people passionate about community engagement, keeping older people in their communities and reducing isolation and loneliness. We are a new charity and this Trustee role will help to develop the new grassroots charity.
Communities Connected is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. We are looking for people who are passionate about strengthening communities, enabling older people to remain active and connected within their local areas, and tackling isolation and loneliness.
As a newly established grassroots charity, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape our future. Trustees play a vital role in providing strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and supporting the sustainable growth of the organisation. You will work alongside fellow Trustees to guide our vision, oversee our activities, and help us make a lasting difference to the lives of older people and the wider community.
The Board meets four times a year in Kelso. We encourage Trustees to attend in person where possible, but we also offer the option to join meetings remotely via Microsoft Teams, making the role accessible to those who are unable to travel.
By becoming a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of a growing organisation, support meaningful community initiatives, and help create lasting social impact.
