Peer Support Volunteer

As a Peer support Volunteer, you will be part of a team providing support for patients, their families, and friends to help them come to terms with living with a spinal cord injury (SCI). These services are carried out in different NHS pathways and supporting patients back in the community after discharge across Scotland.
Activities for SCI volunteers
To provide bedside peer support to patients, their families, and friends
Attend social activities and help with planning
Attend the Outpatient clinics when required
Attend patient education sessions to offer practical information on various topics on daily living with an SCI
Attend one to one sessions and support members in their local communities after discharge
Promote our services and free membership to patients, family and friends

Restrictions

Minimum age: 16
