Administration, Organisation, Communications or Community Sport Volunteers

ERSDA is looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our committee and volunteer team. This is an exciting opportunity to play an active role in supporting grassroots sport, helping local communities thrive, and contributing to the continued growth and development of the association.
Whether you have previous experience in administration, communications, event organisation, or simply a passion for community sport, we would love to hear from you.
What You Can Expect to be Doing
As a committee member or volunteer you may be involved in a range of activities including:
*Supporting the planning and organisation of meetings, events and association activities


  • Assisting with administration tasks, record keeping and maintaining important documents

  • Helping to co-ordinate communications with clubs, members, volunteers and partner organisations

  • Supporting the promotion of ERSDA through social media, newsletters and community engagement activities

  • Contributing ideas and helping to shape the future direction of the association

  • Assisting with the organisation and delivery of events, competitions and development opportunities

  • Working alongside other committee members and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the association

  • Acting as an ambassador for ERSDA and promoting positive participation within the local sporting community
    Skills & Experience
    We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels. The following qualities would be particularly valuable:

  • An interest in community sport and volunteer-led organisations

  • Good organisational and administrative skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Experience with social media, marketing or digital communications (desirable but not essential)

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A willingness to contribute ideas and support new initiatives

  • Reliability, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
    Previous committee or volunteering experience is welcomed but not required. Support and guidance will be provided and the role offers an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and gain valuable experience
    Time Commitment
    ERSDA understands that volunteers have other commitments and aims to offer flexible opportunities wherever possible:

  • Attendance at occasional committee meetings (typically monthly or as required)

  • Support for events and activities throughout the year

  • Additional volunteer time can be tailored to individual availability and interests

  • Most roles can be undertaken alongside work, study or family commitments
