Help SCAA Save Lives in Scotland
We’re looking for friendly, motivated Community Champions to help us raise awareness and support our fundraising efforts at local selected stores. If you enjoy connecting with people, being out and about, and making a positive impact in Scotland you’ll enjoy being part of Team SCAA.
About the Role
As a Community Champion, you’ll act as an ambassador for SCAA within your local area. You’ll help spread the word, build relationships with local businesses, and raise awareness about our life-saving work at event days. From attending local shops, to Brew for the Crew fundraisers and cheque presentations with our local fundraising superstars there are a few different tasks to take your interest.
What You’ll Do
Visit local shops and businesses to build relationships and raise awareness about our work.
Host collection days with other volunteers to engage the community and chat with our supporters.
Support our busy mascots Nevis & Whirly when they attend events.
Raise awareness about SCAA providing Talks in the local area.
Talk about our 'Brew for the Crew' fundraising coffee mornings.
Talk about our popular challenge events - these differ across Scotland.
Cash handling/Contactless donations.
Collect and bank funds on our behalf.
Submit basic admin to our teams so we can thank our amazing supporters.

Experience required

A friendly, approachable, and positive attitude.
Good communication and people skills.
Reliable.
Confidence to work independently and within a small team.
Cash handling or willingness to support local banking.
Confident with email and sending basic info/forms to our office.
Able to attend Zoom training.
Available for a few hours on a monthly basis.
