The club secretary deals with the administration of the football club. The role involves communicating with the league association, other clubs, attending to pitch hire and registration of players. The secretary also arranges meetings, taking minutes and generally ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the club.

Support

Training details

Full support and training on how to use the players registration platform. Introduction to all relevant contacts within the football community. Full mentoring of how to conduct meetings, if required.

Minimum age: 18

Frequency & commitment

Our season lasts from August until April. Each week will involve some organisation of travel or pitch hire. There will be some flexibility though there will be deadlines which have to be met for match days etc. On average the Club Secretary would commit to 2 or 3 hours per week but we are a team and others will be able to step in if the club secretary is unavailable. The Club holds around 5-6 meetings per year.

Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
