Join Our Board: Chair of Trustees

We're looking for an enthusiastic, personable and dependable person to lead Givin’ it Laldie towards the goals and ambitions laid out in our 2025 - 2028 Business Plan.
They must believe that creative expression should be available to everyone, no matter who they are or where they are from, and understand the power music has to build understanding, community and connection; improve health and wellbeing and enhance the cultural life of the Gorbals, Glasgow. No music experience or knowledge is required. 
We are seeking someone who is dependable, committed and driven, with experience of being a trustee and/or experience of Chairing meetings, action groups or learning committees professionally or voluntarily. Givin’ it Laldie is a very small, grassroots organisation and as Chair you would work closely with our Co-Directors, Treasurer, Secretary and other board members towards our vision of a resilient, healthy and vibrant Gorbals, connected through music. 
We will prioritise applications from those who live or work in the Gorbals but will assess applications based on meeting the needs of our charity. We strive for our Board of Trustees to represent the communities we serve and warmly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, particularly across race, gender, socio-economic status, sexuality, disability, and neurodiversity.
Location: Gorbals, Glasgow and online. 
Time commitment: 6 board meetings per year, plus meeting preparation, sub-committee meetings and support/ supervision of Co-Directors.
