Youth Group Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to help at our various youth provisions. We have a youth art group that runs every Friday evening and we also have children and families cooking classes.

The volunteer role will involve working with our youth worker and project worker to deliver art groups, cooking groups or other groups as part of our youth provision. The role will include, setting up and tidying up before and after sessions, working with the young people on various projects, engaging with the young people to help them develop and to find out what they would like to do.To adhere to our safeguarding policy and follow all relelvant procedures.

Experience required

An interest in working with young people/youth work. Either an art background or interest in cooking
depending on which sessions you are volunteering for.

Travel expenses for getting to the centre may be reimbursed

Support
Training details

Shadowing another volunteer/staff, any other relevant training will be offered. Will be required to be a member of the PVG scheme.

Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
