Community Car Volunteer Driver

Larkhall and District Volunteer Group (LDVG) are looking for volunteer drivers who can help support clients to and from their non-emergency appointments to the local GP surgery or Hospital. Volunteers would drive our new electric Nissan Leaf car or use their own car to transport the patient from their home, to their appointment before assisting them in returning home again. Passengers may be frail, elderly, children or other vulnerable people. Volunteers will need to have a clean, current driving licence.
We now have 5 minibuses for hire or self-hire, 2 of our new buses can be driven on a standard car licence.

The opportunity takes place at multiple location across South Lanarkshire
Across South Lanarkshire,Ashgill,East Kilbride,Larkhall,Stonehouse,Airdrie,North Lanarkshire

Travel expenses

Reasonable expenses are reimbursed. Mileage is 45p per mile. Expenses for valeting of vehicle will be paid as and when required.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 25
No Gender Restriction, Volunteers must have a current driving licence. If the potential volunteer has points on their licence this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
