Bike Repairs

Tayside Re-users regularly receives donations of bicycles. Some require repair before they are ready for resale in our shop. We have a dedicated repair area and this has repair equipment and supplies of spare parts. This opportunity would suit someone who has a passion for bikes, experience of bike repairs and able to carry out basic repairs to bikes to give them a new lease of life.

Experience required

Strong knowledge and experience in bike repairs are required.

Travel details

Tayside Re-Users, Unit 1 South Dudhope Mill, 75 Douglas Street, Dundee. North of Verdant Works and buses 7, 17, 28, 29, 51, 57 & 59 - stop just up the road on Lochee Road near Smellies Lane.

Travel expenses

Daily/weekly travel expenses reimbursed. Lunch - £4 per day.

Training details

In house training will be provided, daily support will be given and training will be given as and when required.

Minimum age: 16
This role is not largely public facing, however the ability work well as a team would be required.

Availability 15 - 25 hours per week. Can be discussed - our opening hours are Monday - Friday (9 - 5) and Saturday (10 - 4).

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
