Berry Burn Community Fund
- VO101104
Applications are invited from local individuals living in the Community Council areas listed below to become Fund Members of the
Berry Burn Community Fund (BBCF).
The BBCF receives an annual grant donated by renewable energy company Statkraft UK, owners of the Berry Burn Wind Farm. This funding is distributed by the Fund Members in the form of grants to benefit the communities within the Community Council areas of Forres, East Nairnshire, Grantown-on-Spey, Cromdale & Advie, Speyside, Heldon, Findhorn & Kinloss, Finderne and Dyke Landward.
The Fund comprises eleven members, plus an administrator. The Fund Members are all based within the Fund zone and share a commitment to improving community life within our area. Their role is to award grants in a fair, reasonable and balanced manner and to monitor the progress of the projects supported.
An opportunity has arisen for two new members to be appointed to the Fund. The role is voluntary and no fee is payable. Legitimate travel expenses can be claimed.
