Board Member

Braveheart is a community based health and wellbeing charity, based in Falkirk.
The organisation provides a framework of support and encouragement to people living with health conditions and those at risk of developing chronic illness. Practical support to live well is offered in the local communities of Forth Valley by an army of trained, volunteer leaders who specialise in leading walks, gentle exercise, peer group support sessions, weight management and living well sessions and footcare services.

Braveheart is looking for people to join our Board. The important position of Board member will involve you in the strategic governance if our charity. The Board of Trustees meets on a monthly basis, mostly online. There will be opportunities to become involved in office bearer roles such as Treasurer or in another capacity such as fundraising or HR support, according to your experience and skills. We will be happy to provide more information or chat about the role further.

Enthusiasm for the work of Braveheart and a basic knowledge and understanding of the charity and community health sector.
Specific skills including strategic management, fundraising, marketing, ability to represent the charity with external agencies, HR and finance experience are all helpful.
