Trustee

The Scottish Older People’s Assembly - SOPA is guided by a strong and committed Board of Trustees, bringing together expertise, energy and lived experience to support and oversee the organisation's growth. We are keen to have new Trustees to play a key role in steering SOPA’s strategic development, strengthening governance, and ensuring that the charity remains effective, forward looking, and sustainable.

SOPA engages directly with communities to highlight issues that matter most to older people and ensure their experiences shape government policy and community practice.

We are seeking individuals with experience of working in the voluntary, public or private sector who have skills in good governance, leadership, finance or funding strategies.

This is a hybrid opportunity where new networks can be made with people from across Scotland. The Board of Trustees meet regularly. There will be opportunities to be part of sub working groups of your choosing.
