Re-engage - Falkirk
- VO93015
Re-engage is committed to older people being heard, valued and engaged. As we get older, our social circles diminish, and we find ourselves with fewer and fewer people to turn to. Re-engage envision a world where no one is ever too old to make friends and enjoy social interaction, with a mission to work within communities to end social isolation and loneliness in older people.
We are looking for kind and empathetic people to help befriend an Older Person through regular telephone calls. Conversations can be about anything and everything and take place from the comfort of your own home, scheduled at a time that suits you.
Telephone Befrienders are matched to an Older Person for a weekly or fortnightly chat - depending on availability. We know a good chat can mean the world and this is a great opportunity to reconnect with your community and make someone's week a bit brighter while volunteering in your own home with to fit with your own schedule. If you think you could volunteer then please enquire now!
Experience required
No experience or particular skills required. We just need you to be an empathetic person who is ready to work alongside Older People over the age of 75.
