Social Group Assistant

How can you HAVE FUN, GAIN CONFIDENCE and HELP OTHERS at the same time? By becoming a SOCIAL GROUP ASSISTANT with EXPRESS GROUP FIFE!

Express Group Fife is a mental health charity, operating in Fife for almost 50 years. They provide social group activities and engage with people over 18 experiencing poor mental health.

They are looking for a Social Group Assistants for their groups listed below. Activities involved: setting up the hall (tables and chairs, but not at every location), socialising with service users, serving tea/coffee, taking part/assisting in activities (e.g. board games, bingo, crafts). There is always a Group Coordinator facilitating the group and very often also a Case Worker who can work individually with service users when needed. Time: 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, lunch provided, travel expenses reimbursed, free parking at all venues.

Experience required

You will be friendly and approachable, dependable and trustworthy. An ability to maintain confidentiality is essential while understanding the need to share information/concerns with paid staff as required.

Training details

Volunteers will be made aware of the relevant organisational policies and procedures and will get ongoing support from staff. Relevant training opportunities will be offered.
