RSVP Forth Valley
- VO92474
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) encourages and supports people aged 55+ to volunteer in their local communities. Across Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire we run 5 projects involving hundreds of volunteers. These include volunteering activities within local hospitals and primary schools, charitable knitting groups, a walking group for older people, and a community Handyperson Service.
We are looking to recruit new volunteers in Stirling, at the GP and Minor Injuries Centre. Our volunteers provide important support to the NHS, with the aim of making a visit to the hospital a better experience for patients and visitors.
In this role, you will be a friendly face, re-assuring people, and providing a "way finding" service for patients and visitors. For example speaking to members of the public or patients, giving directions, or providing other types of help or advice. We operate a volunteering rota between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, volunteers normally cover a 2-4 hour session and tend to cover the same shift each week. However we can offer some flexibility around your availability.
