Community Café Assistant

Levenmouth Foodbank Community Support Project is currently looking for cafe assistance at their community cafes to assist with dishes and simple cooking.
Café Connect is open every Tuesday from 10am to 12noon and Thursday 12noon to 2pm. Café Connect first opened its doors in February 2015. It offers hot food and coffee and tea for anyone coming along
The main aim of the café is to provide a safe space for those in the community who are disenfranchised. There is a pool table and laptops and the opportunity to just chat and make friends. The café offers the chance to get to know people better and has offered opportunities to signpost people to agencies who can help with things such as fuel poverty, domestic violence, furnishing their homes etc.
Café Connect is a busy place, so volunteers need to be able to work in a very fast paced environment and can stand for long periods of time. Currently, volunteers are needed to complement our existing volunteer team.
