Foodbank/Pantry Volunteer

KLSB Community Group are based in Stenhousemuir. They carry out various initiatives for the benefit of the local community including running a foodbank/pantry, a community café, craft clubs, maintaining local flower beds as well as various seasonal events.
KLSB are looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join their busy foodbank/pantry team in Stenhousemuir.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Welcoming and chatting with members

  • Checking stock dates (use by/best before)

  • Stocking shelves and organising donations

  • Light housekeeping to keep the space tidy

  • Working as part of a small, supportive team
Many of our members experience social anxiety, so a warm, patient and cheerful attitude is really important in this role. A smile and a kind approach make a huge difference.
Some tasks involve lifting donations and stock, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. Full training will be provided — you don’t need experience, just the right attitude and willingness to help.
If you can spare a couple of hours a week and want to make a real difference in your local community, they would love to hear from you.
