Events Organiser

We are a small self-funded Veterans charity.

We organise collection events at local supermarkets and outlets. At these events we set up a small stall and sell, for a nominal donation, pin badges, pens, mugs, coasters etc.

The duties of events organiser are to: -

· Liaise with the venue for suitable dates.

· Ensure that all required documentation is submitted to the relevant person.

· Check stock levels are sufficient in plenty of time for the event.

· Replenish stock post event if required.

Our friendly environment is an ideal place for you to put your organisational skills to great use. Ideally, we would like someone with experience of organising events, but this is not essential, and the ability to work on your own as well as part of a team. You must have good communication, organisation and planning skills and be able to interface with members of the public.

Organisation aims and objectives

We provide a number of services to support ex-service men and women, and their family members, from the Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, and the Merchant Navy. These services include giving advice and information about benefits, financial support and social activities to assist them adapting to civilian life. If we are unable to help them directly, we then signpost them to other agencies through local contacts.
To increase the availability of and facilitate access to information and support services geared to the needs of members of the forces, and their families, retired from active service through injury or trauma.

No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our community if we don't have good support people in the team. If this sounds like you, we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.
