Voluntary Directors/Trustees

The McSence Group is an award winning Community Business and Social Enterprise formed in 1988 comprising of five companies providing a wide range of services focused on three key – Property, Care and Training.

McSence wishes to recruit a number of voluntary Directors/Trustees to the Board and are particularly interested in hearing from committed individuals with experience in one of the following areas: Finance; Adult Social Care, Sales & Marketing, Operational Management and community involvement & development.

Experience required

Experience in one of the following areas: Finance; Adult Social Care, Sales & Marketing, Operational Management and community involvement & development.

Travel details

BUS - the number 3 and number 48 bus stops; TRAIN - we are only 5 minutes from the new Newtongrange train station which is close to the 48 bus route and there is free parking on the business park.

Travel expenses

Should directors need to travel to meetings away from the main office or are asked to attend additional meetings to do with the operation of the company where there particular skills may be of specific use, then expenses will be reclaimed on the prior approval of the chief executive or chairman.

Frequency & commitment
The time commitment is to attend monthly board meetings usually the last Tuesday of the month in the evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm plus one hours preparation to review board papers.

Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
