Driver (Dysart)

Furniture Plus provides affordable furniture to people in Fife through their Dysart and Dunfermline stores, supporting the community and the environment by reducing waste and encouraging reuse. They are looking for Drivers to deliver and collect furniture within the community from their outlet in Dysart.
The main tasks include:
• Ensuring deliveries and collections are carried out daily
• Ensuring that the goods delivered to the warehouse are safely stored in the warehouse and that any potential repairs/cleaning is pointed out to the warehouse team
• Assisting with maintaining standards of service to customers
• Carrying out deliveries and collections with support from the driver's mate

Experience required

Furniture Plus are happy to receive volunteers who are willing and keen to learn new skills, whilst growing confidence, meeting new people, have fun and feeling part of your local community. Volunteers must have a valid driving license.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses are paid at 10p per mile for walking, 24p per mile for a motorbike, 45p per mile for driving and full payment for bus tickets.

Training details

They provide a full induction (Health & Safety). Each volunteer will be partnered up with a fully experienced member of staff.
