Would you like to make a positive difference to local children and young people? If you are enthusiastic, fun and engaging maybe a role as a volunteer youth and children's worker could be just what you are looking for. Support kids to build on their communication, confidence, teamwork and resilience skills in one of our Youth Clubs.
Experience required
Ability to use your initiative; reliable; enthusiastic; committed; active listening skills; open minded; non-judgemental; sense of humour; likes children and young people and good communication skills. Experience of youth work is desirable but not necessary.
Travel details
All opportunities happen once a week term time and take place in Broomhouse Primary School. Buses to Saughton Road - no 22 from Princes Street. Buses to Calder Road - Nos 3, 33, 25 (Lothian Regional Transport). Nos 27 and 28 (First Bus)

No expenses paid.
Support
Training details
Volunteers will undergo induction sessions before they take up the position. They will also be offered training as appropriate either delivered in house or by other organisations.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
