The Volunteer Club Leader will run the group by helping learners, either one-to-one or in small groups, on a range of topics, depending on what learners would like to cover using resources provided by the coordinator and with the help of other volunteers.
Experience required
Good general IT skills and good communication and leadership skills are essential. Previous experience of working with the internet and email are essential. Other skills such as using Skype, social media and online shopping are desirable.
Travel details
Computer Clubs are held in Dalkeith, Penicuik & Loanhead.
Travel expenses
Volunteers travel expenses will be reimbursed for journeys to and from computer club venues. We will reimburse public transport rates or mileage at 45p per mile. Expenses can be reimbursed weekly or monthly.
Support
Training details
All volunteers will provided with an initial induction/training session. There will then be the opportunity for volunteers to attend a computer club to observe before beginning to volunteer. Ongoing training and support will also be provided.

Frequency & commitment
Requires a commitment of 2 hours per week for at least 6 months.
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
