Tuesday Aphasia Group supports members who have survived a stroke and are living with aphasia. The group provides support for aphasia through aphasia-friendly quizzes, games and conversation support with dedicated volunteers. Running the group meeting any way you desire (very flexible). Prepare activities for each meeting. Helping to facilitate refreshments. Chatting with group members.
Working with members on their communication.
Travel details
Fortnightly on a Tuesday from 2pm – 4pm at Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland, 2nd Floor, Hobart House, 80 Hanover Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1EL. Lots of public transport links.

Support
Training details
CHSS can provide training to support you in your role. Training can include:
•General information about chest, lung, heart and stroke conditions (including aphasia training)
•First aid, health & safety, data protection (GDPR)
•Assisting with mobility.
Ongoing support with peer support coordinator Georgia Freyne.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 18
Availability
Volunteers (aged 18-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
