Volunteering details

The Kiltwalk is back for 2024 across Scotland and we need your support to cheer on our incredible Kiltwalkers as they take on their walking challenges in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, and Edinburgh. Join Team Macmillan making lots of noise as we cheer on the walkers from the sidelines, getting them closer to that finish line!

Please note timings and locations may be subject to change by event organisers. Exact details will be confirmed in your volunteer brief sent a few weeks before the event. We try to be as flexible as possible so please speak to a member of the team if you're unable to commit to one of the full shifts listed or have any concerns.

Experience required

No formal skills are required.

We're looking for people with enthusiasm and a friendly manner who can help support our incredible Macmillan kiltwalkers as they complete their walking challenge, raising vital funds for people living with cancer.

Travel expenses

Reasonable out of pocket travel expenses are available. Please note these must be agreed in advance so mention this in your volunteer application.

Training details

Volunteers will be sent a full brief before the event and someone from Macmillan will be there to support volunteers on the day.

Restrictions

Minimum age: 18
Volunteers aged between 16-17 can volunteer with parental consent. Anyone under the age of 16 can volunteer with adult supervision.
