Bucket Shaking Fundraiser

Volunteer to bucket shake with Waverley Care at The Pleasance Courtyard during the Fringe Festival! The donations you collect will support Scotland's leading HIV and Hepatitis charity. This bucket shaking role will involve collecting donations at The Pleasance Courtyard from 2-26 August during the Fringe Festival. There will be 3 hour slots available in the afternoon (2-5pm), evening (4-7:30), and night (7-10pm) every day during the Fringe. You can volunteer for only one shift, or for as many as you like. You’ll not only meet new people and learn new skills, but also make a real difference in the lives of people living with HIV through the money you collect. You’ll also have access to shows at The Pleasance, thanks to our charity partnership. You'll also receive a Waverley Care t-shirt! No experience is necessary as we provide full training. All we ask if that you have an open mind and a positive attitude. You are welcome to volunteer in a group or by yourself, as long as you sign up via our website: Contact fundraising@waverleycare.org with any questions.

Travel details

Volunteering will take place at The Pleasance Courtyard, 60 Pleasance, Edinburgh EH8 9TJ. There is limited street parking, however the venue is a short distance from Waverley Station, and accessible through public transport.

All Volunteers will be provided with training when they arrive for their shift. Volunteers are encouraged to explore Waverley Care's website and social media to understand our mission before attending.
