Tarbolton Community Council is a voluntary organisation made up of local residents, each with a genuine interest in the community. Their main role is to be representative through consultation with the local community, and make it known to the local authority and other public bodies the views of local people on all matters affecting them.
We are currently looking for a Secretary
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and distribute Agendas for meetings
Take minutes and circulate them to members
Maintain accurate records of council decisions and actions
Handle correspondence, responding to and actioning emails as necessary
Coordinate meetings, including liaising with elected members
Ensuring compliance with council governance, such as filing reports with South Ayrshire Council
.
Experience required
Strong organisational skills
Written and verbal communication
Proficiency in email, word processing and basic IT tools
Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable but not essential.
