Virtual Community Support Volunteer

Volunteers will be asked to provide virtual support via Microsoft Teams or Zoom to encourage self-management of all conditions we support helping service users achieve personal goals either through 1:1 support or in a group setting.

Alternatively we are looking for a volunteer to lead an online weekly music session for people with communication difficulties and/or a weekly online golf discussion group for people with aphasia.

Music group - Tuesday afternoons
Golf group - Wednesday afternoons


What your role will involve:



  • You will be asked to provide virtual support via Microsoft Teams or Zoom to people living with our conditions

  • Embrace a non-judgement, supportive approach to enable service users to achieve their goal(s)

  • Complete record of activity and progress

  • Update Co-ordinator with any concerns or identified areas where additional support may be required

  • Attend (in person or virtual) 6 weekly support & supervision session with Co-ordinator

Travel details

The opportunity will be online based.

Travel expenses

Authorised out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed. These should be discussed with your line manager prior to outlay and must be submitted within the prescribed guidelines as detailed in the CHSS Volunteer Expenses Policy.
