BRAVEHOUND Buddies - caring for a puppy or young dog

BRAVEHOUND provides assistance dogs to veterans who have a clinical diagnosis of a mental health condition such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety.
BRAVEHOUND is committed to the long term welfare of each BRAVEHOUND dog and the veteran they have been partnered with over the dog’s lifetime.
We know that a dog can provide companionship, promote taking exercise and give a purpose and structure to each day. Our dogs have been a valuable asset for veterans and their families. They help to facilitate daily life, giving veterans confidence and provide the assistance that the veteran needs.

BRAVEHOUND needs people to be BRAVEHOUND Buddies - caring for a puppy or young dog and helping with foundation training.
BRAVEHOUND Buddies are a valued role, crucial to ensuring the success of each BRAVEHOUND as an assistance dog.
We’re looking for people who are able to dedicate the time, and energy to help successfully prepare a puppy or young dog to become an assistance dog.
The dogs will live with the BRAVEHOUND Buddy for around 3 -6 months. Fully supported by the BRAVEHOUND team.
All costs are covered by BRAVEHOUND and no previous experience is required.
