- VO101762
The volunteer will collect books and other materials from their local community library and deliver to library members who are physically unable, through illness, infirmity or disability, to be able to make the journey themselves. They will collect returned books from those they visit and return them to the library. Volunteers will not usually have to enter customer’s houses, beyond sometimes briefly entering to pick up returned items for those too frail to lift them. The library will make sure they inform each customer of the volunteer’s expected time of arrival so the volunteer will be expected.
