Treasurer

Fife Pride is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality. Each year, they host a vibrant Pride event that brings together individuals, families, and allies to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ identities. The organisation is run entirely by passionate volunteers who work together to create a welcoming and safe space for all.

Fife Pride require a Treasuer with responsibility for managing the finances of Fife Pride. The Treasurer handles budgeting, financial reporting, and ensures that the organisation’s funds are used effectively and responsibly.
They will
-Manage the organisation’s finances, including budgets and expenditures.
-Prepare financial reports for the board.
-Ensure that financial records are kept up-to-date and in compliance with regulations.
-Oversee fundraising efforts and ensure transparent management of donations.

Experience required

-Experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to present financial information clearly.
-Commitment to the financial health of the organisation

Travel details

Meetings mostly held monthly on-line on a Monday at 5.30pm, however this is flexible. From April up until the event in July meetings are held either weekly or bi-weekly. Occasional meetings take place at ‘The Hive’, Kirkcaldy which is accessible by public transport.
The Pride event takes place at Kirkcaldy Town Square

Travel expenses

Travel expenses will be reimbursed at either public transport rates on receipt of a valid bus ticket or at 45p per mile.

Support
Training details

An overview of the role and responsibilities will be provided as part of an induction and initial support will be provided by the previous Treasurer. Ongoing support will be provided by the trustees. The volunteer will also be part of a Whatsapp group.
