To work and develop gardening projects that are achievable to persons with a learning disability, teaching new skills such as support in community conservation, planting and growing and sharing a knowledge base that can enrich the lives of those attending. To have a positive and keen attitude that nurture friendship promote through choice, respect and trust.
Experience required
A good knowledge of gardening and a positive attitude towards others
Travel details
There is a bus stop outside Sycamore House and the bus runs every 30 min
Support
Training details
The volunteer’s will work closely with our Activity Coordinator at all times and she will be first port of call for any support required.
Restrictions
Minimum age: 21
Availability
Volunteers (aged 21-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
