Looking to have some volanteers over on the last Monday of the month 2pm-4pm at Sycamore house to help support people with a learning disability to learn how to knit and be creative. Need to have a keen interest in knitting, crochet or embroidery and be patient. This group is all about getting together and having a chat, being creative whilst learning a new skills as well as making new friends. Refreshments will be supplied.
Experience required
Confident knitter, kind , patient, respectful outgoing and an appreciation of the importance of community connections
Travel details
Buses run every 30 mins and stops outside the office in which our Yarn and Darn group is held
Travel expenses
Bus fares and mileage at 45p per mile

Informal chat about our services and what we are aiming to achieve through our Yarn and Darn sessions
Restrictions
Minimum age: 16
Availability
Volunteers (aged 16-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
